The Yasaki MGS XSB Shaft was developed to maintain the original smoothness, balance, and reliability of Shimano MGS and Kisu reels.
Machined with high precision from aerospace-grade aluminum with a special surface treatment, the shaft combines lightweight construction, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability for demanding fishing conditions.
Designed for direct compatibility with the original Shimano spool and drag system, the shaft integrates seamlessly into the reel without play.
For optimum durability and performance, we recommend using the original Shimano spool or a Yasaki spool. Spools with excessive play or drag washers sitting too high can place additional stress on the shaft and thread, which can considerably reduce the service life of the shaft.
